After 10-ish years we thought it’s only right to come back around with our second album – and we couldn’t be happier with the results.

We called it Eigelstein Hi-Teck. It's a collage of all our inspirations and favourite samples we always wanted to use: from jungle and grime, to NYC and Berlin rap, and from UK funky to french house, ballroom and RnB. Throw in some anime soundtracks, cheesy 80s action flicks, and you may end up with these 11 gritty little songs. Most of these ideas and tracks were produced over the course of the last three, pandemic-stricken years. That said: there are a few tracks on here that (essentially) have been in our folders for over a decade, then got accidentally rediscovered and flipped in completely new ways. Isn’t that just the best feeling? Rediscovering and working with a sample that you just couldn’t get right, no matter what – and all of a sudden, it all comes together, years after the fact?

But first and foremost, this album is a document of how much fun we have hanging out in the studio together.
And, as always, a bow to the incredible music heritage of Chicago, which we’re deeply indebted to.

This album will be digital only (for now) and 3D-print wizard Guillermo Heinze helped us greatly to envision our idea of a truly Eigelstein Hi-Teck-ish USB-stick.
